Hi, I’m Lore, the heart and hands behind Earthbound!
In 2023 I took a leap of faith, packing my life into a suitcase and leaving my Belgian roots behind to begin a new chapter in Australia. I did this because I fell in love with not just my Australian partner, though his charm certainly helped—but also the “slow living” lifestyle here.
I have always been a creative soul. When I was teenager, I went to art school for 4 years and studied creation and fashion. I even made my own graduation gala dress! But like so many others, when it came time to choose a career, I sought stability over passion and became a social worker.
Having worked a few years as a social worker I longed to be creative again and in 2024, I quit my job and decided to follow my heart and my passion to become a full-time creator. Although it was a scary change, I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Only this time, I wanted to make more than just clothes for myself – I wanted to share my creations with you. And that’s how Earthbound was born.
I’ve always had a deep love for nature and Earthbound is inspired by this connection to the outdoors and the simple, beautiful things in life. The name Earthbound reflects that very bond with nature. I wanted to create something special that combines comfort and sustainability with style –something truly meaningful and personal. I only work with 100% natural fabric and each piece is sewn with love, by me, here in Perth.
